I am awakened every night by aches in both knees. It goes away if I lie on my back. But sleep quality is not good anyway. Parkinsons for 12 years

Good morning Resistance … I am 70 & was diagnosed with Atypical Parkinson’s in June 2023. I have probably had Parkinson’s for around 8 years.
Sorry to hear you are having pains in your knees. You haven’t given us a lot to go on. But my guess might be that you have some sleep disorder bought on by the medication you take for your Parkinson’s. This is what has happened to me. My Parkinson’s nurse has told me that my co-careldopa [Sinemet] probably causes me to thrash about in my sleep. I often wake up with a painful back, knee or finger[s]. The pain goes after I wake up.
Best wishes
