First post here so will start by saying hello to everyone.
As my thread title suggests I am cycling 1000 miles in 12 days in August this year in support of Parkinson’s UK.
My mum was diagnosed with the illness 7 years ago and I thought it was about time I did something to support this wonderful charity.
This ride itself is daunting, but the fund raising target even more so. I have so far raised just shy of £900, but am some way short of my £2900 target.
This post is a shameless request for any support people on this site can offer. Whether that be a donation, a share of the Just Giving Link or some advice on fund raising activities. Training rides can be dull at this time of year, so if there are any budding cyclists who fancy a bimble round the Kent lanes get in touch!
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any contribution you make to this thread. My Just Giving Link is included below.
