Hi. I was diagnosed a few months ago and since October been on 12.5/50 mg Madopar which I am informed is a low dose as my symptoms were mild. Very slight finger twitch and stiffness in arm. Positive Datscan Negative MRI. I have also started on Midodrine to try and control Orthostatic Hypotension. This works a bit but the dose needs tweaking to increase it to cover the full day. For about 9 months now I have had a worsening symptom that no one seems able to give me a definitive answer on. I have a lightheaded/tired/drunk feeling starting mid morning and worsening throughout the day which lessens on an evening. I dont think its down to the Orthostatic Hypotension as that is a different type of lightheadedness and is improving with Midodrine. I have terrible anxiety and depression. Could this be causing it? I have seen the term “brain fog” Could it be this? Maybe its fatigue? I also have severe arthritis in my hips and back. Arthritis and Orthostatic Hypotension being dealt with but I wish I knew what this strange feeling in my head was.
Evening Rob … The first drug I tried was Madopar. It made my brain feel hot & really strange. I stopped taking it after 7-10 days. I now take Sinemet which I am fine with.
If you don’t get on with a drug try a different one. Of course lightheadedness could be low blood pressure. I’m sure you’ve had that checked.

Thanks Steve yes am taking Midodrine for low BP and this sensation started long before I started on Madopar so its not that.
