Hi everyone,
We’ve got a meeting later this month with Motability (the charity that helps people get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a vehicle) to discuss how we can work together to support people to stay mobile.
As part of this work, we'd like to know if anyone has recently applied for benefits and lost their mobility component?
Thanks,
Amy
The government is implementing reforms that mean tens of thousands of disabled people will lose their entitlement to a motability vehicle.
It is estimated that around 100,000 people will no longer be able to continue having a vehicle as DLA changes to PIP which has stricter criteria for eligibility.
Motability is a not-for-profit charity. It has no competitors.
Mike Betts, chief executive of Motability Operations received an annual pay package exceeding £1.5 million last year.
We are all in it together?
