I’m interested to have an idea of how many families have found themselves impacted from sums of money lost by their loved one with Parkinson’s, gambled or spent through the compulsive behaviour causing affect of some drugs ?
My Husband with Parkinson’s lost £25,000 to a so called investment, his pension pot that would have bought us a mobility vehicle. Getting him and his wheelchair then subsequently having to push his 21 stone self (yes drugs also caused him to constantly binge eat through the night) anywhere is so physically hard I often struggle to take him out.
I know these drugs do help some people and new drugs being made all the time but I wish there was a compensation scheme for those it causes problems for.
