This is what I’ve experienced -
My parents were both pescribed Madopar.
It did nothing to help my Dad’s PD after a few years and he basically deteriorated rapidly from February and passed away at the end of May this year.
Mum is still on it. She has shown side effects. The odd thing she is described as having ‘Parkinsonism’ by the specialist but has zero PD
traits compared to my late father.
She’s out for the count an hour after taking it, hallucinating, sleep disorders, dyskinesia, paranoia and mood swings plus incontinence.
This was not the case prior.
She’s on 2 capsules 4 times per day (50mg 12.5mg).
Shes adamant that it helps but I believe this is because it’s out of a bottle (the delusional silver bullet theory).
