I am 70 years I was diagnosed with Atypical Parkinson’s following a positive Datscan.
My Parkinson’s issues tend to be mobility linked with gait freezing a main feature.
Although I’m told I do have a slight tremor I don’t really see it that often. Saying that
I can’t carry any food or drinks without violently shaking & putting all my food or drink on the floor. BUT I can carry my food & coffee / tea at home in my small flat, over a white carpet without ever spilling a drop. But today I had a golf buddy drop by for a coffee & a catch up as I had had to stop playing golf. He sat down & I offered to make him a coffee which I did. Unfortunately I tried to carry the coffee a matter of 10 feet to the table & I started to violently shake & put the whole mug of coffee on the floor. He asked if I was ok & I had to tell him I had Parkinson’s. He was very sympathetic & made us both coffee.
After he had gone I made myself a drink & did not spill a drop. Weird that, anyone have a similar experience?
My arms / hand also shake while I’m trying to eat a meal on my own at home. So
I now take my mouth to my fork rather than fork to my mouth. I also find it takes ages to eat a meal.
Ho hum.
Best wishes
