Medication and falling asleep

My mother takes her medication at 7am every morning and within an hour she can fall into a deep slumber almost as though she has narcolepsy. Could this be the medication and if so, what can we try in order to try to help her? Many thanks.

Hi @Daisydimple thank you for sharing yours and your mum’s experience with us. Falling asleep like this could be caused by quite a few different things, so it’s really important to speak to your mum’s GP or Parkinson’s nurse, so they can assess and offer the best way forward.

In the mean time, if you need to speak to someone about this, our free and confidential helpline is here for you: 0808 800 0303. We hope you get the answers you need soon :blue_heart:
