I have been diagnosed just over a year and estimated had PD for around three and a half years (age 63). First year was not too bad but since a bout of flu in February, I have been toiliing. Walking has been curtailed, struggling to complete a full round of golf and generally lacking energy, plus a lot of pain in left shoulder, neck and both elbows.
Nurse has advised me to start on either rasagiline or ropinirole. I am reluctant to start on meds, partly due to stubbornness and partly because the side effects look quite frightening. I still work full time and travel a lot, haven’t told my employer yet. Anybody got any experiences that might help.
