Hi. I am Jacqueline. I have Parkinsons. I am new to the forum. I am looking to upgrade my Samsung phone.i currently have an A20E. I want another Samsung 4G (larger model) just wondered if Anyone have any tips about this. Especially regarding programmes or apps that help you text. Also how do i use this site instead of typing using speech recognition? Thanks

JemE did I miss your reply about using voice recognition instead of having to type on this site? I am interested to know what the routine is, do we need another app or something to use voice recognition here? Can it be switched on when one logs on or is it not that easy? Many thanks, Jo

Hey @Jaczy, I know this is an older post, so I hope you see my reply - have you tried Voice Access on your Android phone? If not, you may wish to check it out - it should be built-into the device, and would allow you to both dictate and navigate using your voice, hands-free.
If you’ve already used it, would love to learn more about your experience.

Hi Jaczy,
A lot of phones today, including Samsung, Google Pixel, iPhones etc have the voice recognition facility.
Using the Google keyboard , which you can on iPhone as well, you will see a speaker on the bottom right of the keyboard. Just touch it to speak and it will type for you. However obviously you must “train” it to your voice.
If you are also looking for a bigger phone, the Samsung Fold 7 is really great as it gives you a big screen and you can have different functions open at the same time.
