MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS)

Hi, I read recently that MRgFUS has been trailed in Scotland (see below article) and on further digging noticed that the treatment appears to be more widely available privately, and not the NHS. Appreciate this won’t be new news, however I was only diagnosed a year ago and my symptoms are advancing as expected, so only read-up on this over the last week or so.

Has anyone had this treatment either via (i) a trial, (ii) the NHS (unlikely) or (iii) privately both in the UK or abroad?

If yes to (iii), would be great to hear about how it went and indicative cost please.

Thanks @calv1960 , I noticed Queens Square in London are offering it, albeit £25k!

We went abroad (USA) intending to have it done but top neurology Dr advised it would cause more neurological issues than it would solve at this stage. Had PD approx 3 years and has bad tremor and bradykinesia. Will be interesting to follow and maybe relook at it in future one day!
