Do many people on here have MSA or is it very rare? I have recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s but after 2 years of wrong diagnoses my trust in doctors is dwindling and as I have Autonomic symptoms and health anxiety I am worried I have MSA after reading Google. Thanks.
When I saw my consultant last month he said he was concerned about me having MSA. I had an MRI last week now waiting for results and another meeting with my consultant. I had a quick look at google but advice from some nurses I know means no longer do any searches. It’s better to call the helpline 0808 800 0303 and speak to them

Thanks Johan. I have had an MRI scan so maybe this rules out MSA. I also had a DAT Scan which was abnormal.
There are lots of autonomic symptoms with Parkinson’s disease Rob, it doesn’t mean you have MSA, although they can be hard to tell apart early in the disease. If you’re worried about it contact your consultant’s secretary and see if the consultant or PD nurse can give you phone call to set your mind at rest.
