Hi @costa16,
I’m really sorry to hear about your mum, I’m sure this must be a difficult time for you both. We have an entire section on the Parkinson’s UK website on Covid-19 and the different forms of support available to people with Parkinson’s which I’m sure will be very helpful to you. I’d strongly recommend you head over to our website for more expert advice, you can find it here: https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/parkinsons-support
Given that your mwp has gotten worse, I’d also encourage you to speak to her GP as soon as possible as she may need urgent medical attention. If you’d like to speak to someone about this on our end, you can give our helpline service a call and speak to one of our advisers about this is more detail. They’ll be able o offer you more support on this and possibly arrange for a Parkinson’s nurse to call you within 24hour, please give us a call on 0808 800 0303 Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm, Saturday: 10am-2pm.
I hope you find this information helpful and please feel free to keep us posted on this situation.
Best wishes,
Reah
Changes in environment are notoriously bad for triggering worsened symptoms in Parkinsons.
It’s a total pain but it’s very common.
Also, emotions, even if TOTALLY subconscious, and good or bad, is a trigger.
Should get better over time.
Sending hugs.
