My Experience with a Plant-Based Approach to Parkinson’s – Looking to Exchange Experiences

Hello everyone,

I’m from Austria and I have Parkinson’s. I’m joining this community because I’m very interested in exchanging experiences with people who are exploring approaches beyond conventional Parkinson’s medication.

At the moment, I am not taking conventional Parkinson’s medication. Instead, I am using a plant-based approach, including Mucuna pruriens, Ashwagandha and other plant-based substances. I have been following this approach for approximately 18 months, and personally I am doing well with it.

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have personal experience with Mucuna pruriens, Ashwagandha, or other plant-based approaches for Parkinson’s.

I’m not here to suggest that my approach is suitable for anyone else. I simply want to share my own experience, learn from others, and have an open and respectful exchange about what has and hasn’t worked for different people.

I’d be very happy to hear your experiences — especially if you have tried Mucuna, Ashwagandha, or other plant-based approaches, or if you have chosen a different path from conventional medication.

As with any treatment approach, I believe it is important to discuss the use of plant-based substances with a qualified healthcare professional, particularly because they may have side effects or interact with other treatments.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
