Hi, my husband is in so much pain and i’m wondering if he should change his medication. he has called his parkinsons nurse and he can’t speak with her until 2nd April. feel so sorry for him, its like restless leg syndrome with shooting pains coming from abdomen down leg to his foot. He is also experiencing pain in his left side, this is new. Can parkinsons spread to the other side of the body? He was diagnosed 3 years ago and is now 53
Hi my husband has this for a couple of years now. He went into the local hospice for pain management for a couple of weeks. They monitored his condition and changed some of his medication. They also gave him a steroid injection, which helps him greatly. His GP does the steroid injection now when his pain is really bad in these areas
Sorry to hear youre husbands in pain. Yes parkinsons can be bi-lateral. I suffer quite a bit with similar pain down the leg. I got the doctor put me on gabapentin , which takes the edge off. Also when its quite bad i use 1 of those massage guns on my leg, which brings relief whilst i use it. Maybe worth a try to give a bit of rest bite .
Sitting can increase joint pressure in the back I find if a lay on the couch it helps relieve the pressure also at night raise the feet to take the pressure off . If he can manage approved back exercises he should
