My partner is becoming more sensitive to the cold and is always putting bright lights on because he feels he can’t see well enough…is this another symptom? He can’t tolerate glare either so it’s a fine line.
People with Parkinson’s can experience issues with their eyes, however, eye problems may also be unrelated to Parkinson’s. We have a wealth of information on our website about the different eye problems someone with Parkinson’s may experience including blurred vision, double vision, colour vision, ect. You can find this here - https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/eye-problems - you’ll also find information on the different specialist that can help with eye problem.
If you’d prefer to speak to someone about this, you can always give our helpline a call on 0808 800 0303 from Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm, Saturday: 10am-2pm, or you can email [email protected].
I hope you find this useful.
Thank you for that… he does also have glaucoma so it was useful to read about that too. It’s a mine field!
I agree, this is a bit of a mid field, however, hopefully the information we have on glaucoma on our website will give you more clarity on your partner’s condition.
Do take care,
