Hi pcmb,
You haven’t mentioned how old your partner is.
I would presume round about your age.
However let me try to help.
I am 71 and was diagnosed in late 2020.
Luckily mine has progressed very slowly which I really put down to the fact that I exercise at least 3-4 times a week.
Recently it has started to get slightly worse but that is to be expected.
I am not quite sure why she feels that she is going to die.
Is it because she actually wants to “end it all” or she is just incredibly depressed.
The fact that it has also progressed so slowly and is now getting slightly worse does not mean at all that it will accelerate.
Does she exercise at all?
Hello and welcome to the right place for lots of good advice. My husband has had pd since 2016. When his anxiety levels rise its really hard to get him calm these days. But it’s almost always when the dopamine levels drop that it gets bad. I do my best to reassure him and explain he will feel better very soon, I do need to walk away from it sometimes as well and just calm myself down. I’m sure many people will give you advice on here, where those who care and those who live with the symptoms share their experiences.
