Hello, I’m Denise. My partner has Parkinson’s & since learning this have been on a journey of research.
However, I find that much of the information & guidance given to people & their spouses is aimed at people that have been together for many years.
There are people like me that have gone into new relationships with someone with Parkinson’s, and find so little of the guidance material resonating with our situation.
I would like to offer to help Parkinson’s UK redress this balance as I believe it to be rather discriminatory against younger people & leaving people thinking that there is no chance of relationships once you have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
