Hello, I have had my first appointment with a specialist, he feels I probably have Parkinsons, I have a Datscan on the 1st July, I’m feeling a little bewildered at the moment, but pleased the scan has come through quickly, it’s nice to have a place to talk , thank you
Hi Susiebeb,
A BIG Well done for taking the step to join this forum, you will find that there is a lot of very good advice and useful information that is shared with everyone.
I had my Datscan in February which confirmed that I have PD and strangely I was relieved to have a diagnosis because I knew something was wrong and could now reach out for help.
I found reading the different threads here and joining in with them made me realise that there are plenty of people to connect with and I especially love the Favourite song thread which
has introduced me to some great songs that I have never heard before.
Good luck with your Datscan and we are the lucky ones really because many people are never offered it, probably because it costs over £2000 apparently,
Please let us know how it goes.
