So I’m new to all this, I’ve been referred to see a specialist so still waitingfor a diagnosis. My symptoms started 13/14 yrs ago when I developed a tremor in my hand that eventually travelled into my arm, my Dr always put it down to anxiety and did nothing about it. I always knew something was wrong but was not being heard, then last year new symptoms started such as my foot would feel like it was dragging, frozen shoulder feeling and my hands wouldn’t work properly when picking things up all my symptoms mainly affected my right side more then my left.
I’ve never known much about family history as I was adopted as a baby but I did have a aunty from my biological side that I spoke to. Then in January this year I was telling her about my symptoms and she had mentioned that my biological mum has parkinsons and also her aunty and grandad had it aswell.
So back to the Dr’s I went. My previous Dr had retired so now I have a new one who actually listens to me and has referred me to see a specialist. I feel like I’m finally getting listened to which is great because my symptoms seem to be progressing more.
Any advise on any thing would be great. I think the fact that I’ve been dealing with this for many years but finally getting sorted is becoming a bit overwhelming my emotions are all over the place with it all. I have a very supportive family and my workplace has been amazing.
