Hi @Israt_Choudhury , welcome to our forum, and thank you for sharing what you’ve been going through.

It sounds like it’s been a very long road to reach a diagnosis, and getting there after so much uncertainty can feel like a lot to take in.

We’re glad you’ve found your way here. You’re not on your own, and many people will recognise parts of your story.

Your message looks like you were going to type something else. If you need to add anything, you can reply to this thread. We’ll always be happy to hear from you.

Sending our best wishes

Welcome to this very useful forum Israt. I’ve found it hugely helpful - even just to read the posts from others who are in a similar spot. I was diagnosed in 2023 after some months (even years) of symptoms and in some ways it was reassuring to get a diagnosis and to start on medication. It’s strange to have to take pills to be able to manage and do the things you once found easy - but there are ways to help minimise the symptoms and Parkinson’s Uk have a great helpline that I would recommend if you need support or information.

My feeling (I don’t much like advice) is not to be defined by Parkinson’s and to stay as active and engaged with all the things and the people you love.

my best wishes

Jon
