Night time pills

Hi hoping someone can help hwp has been prescribed Opicapone and Madopar slow release to take at night time before bed, I know they have to be taken at least an hour apart but does it matter which way round you take them to get optimum affect ?

Evening Mojo … I have just asked my mate google your question and he or she says …

“You should take opicapone once a day at bedtime. You should do this at least one hour before or after your levodopa medication”

So I think it means that it doesn’t matter which you take first as long as the 2 doses
are one hour apart.

Good evening… Thank you really appreciate you looking into this for me, it’s a minefield sorting out medication

My pleasure Mojo.

I take Opicapone and Sinemet so have the same problem. I take the opicapone at 9pm and the sinemet at 10pm and that seems to work for me.

Thank you

Is it fair to say that the Opicapone is good for overnight slow release, and is it available “over the counter” or do you have to get it on Prescription.
If on prescription, how do you get it added to your medication?

Hi all,
I have an appointment next Tuesday, with my GP.
I am looking to discuss my symptoms, and any further Medication, which may help me.
Having read this thread, I think this may help me, particularly in the mornings.
Although I am not a Serious sufferer (my conclusion), I am looking to make my life just that little bit better, if possible.

Hi coolerking,
Have a look into keto diet, red light therapy aka photobiomoduation and exercise for PD in my opinion this will help you.

Happy research
