Operations with PD

Yesterday had an a pre planned operation (nothing to with PD). The hospital has a “Parkinson’s protocol” part of this is that anybody on PD will be last on the list to be operated on. The reasons beings are A} if there any “issues” any others on the list won’t be delayed and B} If there are “issues” others from operation lists elsewhere could come to assist. What the “issues” would be was never mention.

Another thing was that the nurses on the ward did everything even when I said could I do it, it was no use saying anything, you just got the do as your told stare and they did it.

@Johanmb , that’s interesting. I had a left hip replacement recently and was told I would be first on the list because of having Parkinson’s. When the previous hip was replaced I was third on the list and was told this was because there were others with more complicated issues.
