Parasomnia

Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, hope everyone is as well as can be ???

I had an episode 2 weeks ago, had a lovely nanny nap in the afternoon, I woke up an hour or so later, but felt like I wasn’t awake properly, went and made my self a cup of tea, next thing I know I’m aware of lots of people around me ( turned out to be ambulance men) I was taken into hospital but discharged later that evening… talking to my mother about what happed… she said I was chatting to her while sat in chair then the next thing she said I just went limp, I couldn’t move my arms, legs or head , my eyes rolled into back of my head and my breathing became very shallow ( at this point she rang for ambulance ) according to the doctor it’s called “sleep paralysis “ it’s where your sleep walking and you body shuts down to protect you !!! Then last week I’m at home alone, I fell asleep in my chair watching the tv, I then remembered waking up but again I couldn’t move my body, it took a couple of minutes to come round and eventually be able to move my arms and legs…

Has anyone else experienced this ???

My GP I’d looking into it and my neurologist says it’s called parasomnia???
