Parents need help

My mum has had Parkinson's for 16 years and is now in the advanced stages.  My father has been her carer all along.  He's not in good health and is tired.

They need help, not sure they are open to anything (especially mum), but I'd be grateful for any ideas or suggestions....carer in the home, respite for my mum?

The Parkinsons Nurse is so hard to get hold of, I don't know who to speak to, but we need to make a change for the better so they both have a better quality of life.

Hi Pop,

This forum is a great place to get advice, and you are also welcome to give us a call on our Helpline on 0808 800 0303. Our advisers can give you information about support that's available, and we also have Parkinson's Nurses you can speak to on the Helpline too.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Joanne
