Thank you for sharing your experience, Eunice. It sounds like you have been through a very difficult time with your illness, fall, and ongoing pain. Pain and hallucinations can sometimes be part of Parkinson’s or related treatments, and it’s important that these are managed well. It’s good that you have received some physiotherapy and medication adjustments. If the pain continues to affect your sleep and quality of life, please reach out to us or your healthcare team for further support and options. You are not alone, and many people find relief with tailored treatments and therapies.

Thank you I am still having the pain and lack of sleep, when I saw the physiotherapist at the doctors I asked about some help for the pain, she said she would discuss it with the doctors but no one got back to me I feel I’m being a nuisance.

You’re definitely not being a nuisance, pain that keeps you awake is something that deserves proper attention. Sometimes things do slip through the cracks, so it might be worth phoning the surgery again to follow up and explain that the pain is still bad and affecting your sleep. You could also ask if there are any other pain management options besides co-codamol or steroid injections. Some people with arthritis find different types of pain relief, gentle exercises, or even referral to a specialist pain clinic helpful, but it often takes persistence to get the right support. You’ve already been through a lot, so please don’t feel you’re asking too much by pushing for more help.

ThankYou, I rang the Doctor the physiotherapist had not mentioned anything about painkillers he suggests we keep trying he has given me prednisone I had it when I was ill and could not see properly, he is going to ring me next week to see how I get on. Thankyou again I
