Hi
New guy here, I was diagnosed 20+ years ago and I’m 67. I’ve been taking sinemet levadopar and carbidopa for several years and it was aware that there were side effects, such as gambling, compulsive behavior such as unnecessary purchasing. And also an increase in sex drive and watching pornography.
I haven’t spoken anyone about this due to embarrassment, feeling like a dirty old man, but now it’s affecting my financial situation as there are internet sites where you can link up with girls/women and masturbate with them at a rate of approximately £1 per minute.
Im on one of the sites virtually every day and spending anywhere from £15 to £90 per day.
Is anyone aware of any tips or advice of how to reduce the of visits to these sites. Another option is hookup sites with girls only interested in casual sex but when you make contact with them they don’t want to rush things and have a few chats
Each of which costs money…
I’ve now started to masturbate in my apartment where there is a good chance of being seen and I don’t particularly want to be arrested as a flasher…
Hi Rich … Getting prostate cancer & having my prostate removed worked for me. But that is a bit drastic I would suggest. A more sensible option would be to contact your credit card providers & get them to refuse to accept your credit cards on porn & gambling sites.
Best of luck.

I did that, but being weak willed I cancelled the block after a few days. Willpower of a gnat!!
You have to take responsibility for your actions. Get that credit card block back on.

Hi Rich, thank you for your comment. We’re really sorry to hear about the difficulty you’ve been having.
We’d recommend speaking to your GP or Parkinson’s nurse about this. They will be able to offer advice and answer questions you have about your medication and its side effects.
Alternatively, you can call our free helpline on 0808 800 0303. It’s totally confidential and our specially trained advisers will be able to navigate you through this process.
We hope this helps. Please take care.

Sounds like you do need to get a block on spending at such sites, do it now until at least your next PD Nurse appointment. A simple med adjustment might be all that is needed.
In the meantime think of free or not constant spending options, A fleshlight, reading material, just closing your eyes and using imagination can work wonders, no visual media needed.
Also consider the sites you have been using and the people making £££ off of them by exploitation.
Card block > PD Nurse > imagination
Hoping things get better, Take Care
How about (temporarily) engaging a close friend or a relative to take over your finances while you’re sorting out your other options - with the GP etc.? The topic is delicate but you have been strong enough to face it and address this issue here, hence I am confident that you can do this with a close person as well. There’s nothing to be ashamed of; you are ill, not a pervert…. Wishing you enough strength to fix it.
Consult your pd team and discuss your concerns.
A reduction in medication tapering it down may help.
A keto diet or intermittent fasting can help some people because you need less medication.
Address the problem sooner rather than later.
Hi, as everyone else has said, request an urgent medication review because it isn’t working for you.
In the meantime, if you log into your account with your home broadband provider, you might find they have settings to restrict access to certain websites or whole types of websites. Do you have somebody you can trust to set a password for it and not to give it to you?
i noticed a big change when the meds kicked in, especially with impulse control. Talking about it openly helped loads, felt lesss alone and more in control after
And for me, balancing curiosity and actual need made a difference. Sometimes I just browsed sites like https://hentaiz-a1.net because it felt harmless and helped take the pressure off, especially when meds made my impulses stronger. Figuring out triggers and talking to someone I trusted took a load off mentally.
