I’m having my first appointment with the Parkinson’s nurse tomorrow
Is there anything I need to know as I don’t know what to expect
I had my first appointment a few weeks ago. She was nice.
You will probably get asked about your self etc
Also she may do a couple of tests like finger tap etc
I got given loads of booklets about Parkinson’s. contact numbers.
When my next appointment will be.
They will do a letter to your neurologist about your appointment and send you and your GP a copy also medication will be discussed.
They may refer you to other departments neuro rehab physio speech and language therapy continence services etc
Make a list of what you want to ask in case you forget.
That’s roughly what happened at mine. Someone else maybe different.

Andy58Blackpool, I had my first appointment about 4 weeks ago after waiting nearly 3 years. I would echo @Bub1 on what to expect and to take the list of question you want to ask. I would add that the hour or so I spent with Becki was probably one of the most informative and supportive meetings I have had since being positively dx on 16/12/2016.
