I wonder if anyone else here is waiting for a knee replacement. I’m in considerable pain from osteoarthritis and I find it aggravates the stiffness resulting from the Parkinson’s. Has anyone had knee surgery and if so how did it affect the Parkinson’s? One thing I will say,at least Parkinson’s doesn’t bring with it agonising pain.

@Carlotta I’ve got osteoarthritis in my left knee and in my left hip, Parkinson’s also mainly affect my left side as well, not sure if there is any link or not. My hip is worse than my knee and GP has already said it will need replacing at some point but at moment dealing with by taking Co-codamol (when available as there is a shortage at moment).

What helped me was writing down which joints were bad on which days - the pattern over a month was far more useful than how I felt at any one appointment. Have you tried tracking it that way?

The same symptoms can come from very different places, and the bloods and the imaging do not always agree with each other. That is what makes these appointments so hard to read. What helped me was writing down which joints were bad on which days, because the pattern over a month said more than how I felt on any single morning.
