Peg Feeding

Good Morning

I am not sure if I've posted in the right section but here goes.

My husband has had severe swallowing problems and has just had a feeding peg put in. The doctors changed his usual Sinemet to dispersible Madopar. Ever since he goes blank and acts strangely when he is given the dose.

I would like to change back to Sinemet, does anybody have any knowledge about crushing Sinemet (not slow release) and administering through tube?

Thank you

Karen

Sorry maybe phone helpline, i think not sure but dispersal madopar goes into system quickly ie pd drugs work faster than tablet form .hope you get your answers
