Hi I am Derek 59 years young diagnosed about five years ago
Hi and sorry to hear your news.
I’m caring for Mum who has PD. She’s had PD for about 30 years.
I am a widow, 68 years young.
It is very hard helping mum and watching a loved one with PD. She’s also recently been diagnosed with dementia.
I try to keep her going … but she gets depressed so much these days.
The main problem faced for us, Mum and me, is the isolation.
No one comes by. No one wants to come by.
Family come by when it suits them but they don’t want to do anything to help.
Especially not for poor PD sufferer Mum.
When trouble strikes anyone and times become challenged why is it that no one bothers?
