Would be interested to know if anybody on this site takes Pregabalin. I have been prescribed 25mg when necessary.
Thank you.

I have been prescribed exactly the same dose for anxiety but I haven’t taken it yet. Have you?
Hello, I’ve been prescribed Pregabalin (previously Gabapentin) by my GP to manage a chronic itching problem that may be neurological in origin. It has definitely helped.
What, if you don’t mind me asking, are you taking the Pregabalin for? It’s often prescribed for neuropathy (nerve pain), I understand.
Interestingly, my neurologist, whom I saw for the first time a few weeks ago, is undecided if my itching is neurological in origin, and he was more focused (rightly, I think) in getting to the bottom of my Parkinson’s-like symptoms. I’m waiting to see if the itching further subsides with the PD medication (Co-careldopa).
I’m yet to start it but it’s for anxiety.
I havent taken it yet but it was prescribed for anxiety and to help me sleep.
I’ve been on Pregabalin for about two months and it has definitely decreased nerve pain. I’d tried Amatriptyline (terrible nightmares), Nortriptyline and developed restless legs . My own Googling discovered that these two drugs can cause that. A course of Ropinirole dealt with the RLS, and meantime GP put me on Gabapentin for the nerve pain but that affected my balance. With Pregabalin I’ve had no noticeable side effects, a decrease in the nerve pain for which it was prescribed and , as bonus, improved mood and sleep.

Thanks Anna2. I didnt realise pregabalin was for nerve pain as well.
Hi, my name is Christine, I was prescribed pre-gabbling for nerve pain. Unfortunately, I couldn’t tolerate it. I believe it does help a lot of people.
