Rechargeable Nail Grinders

Hello All
For some time I’ve not found it easy to trim my finger nails - I can manage with clippers on my left hand but struggle with the right as I can’t always bring enough pressure to bear. I have long since given up on emery boards and scissors. Yes I could go to a nail bar but I only want them trimed nothing else and it is expensive and time consuming just to get this done. Then I heard about nail grinders and recently bought one. It has been a life changer and solved my problem Easy to use, shapes the nail beautifully, no jagged edges and crucially for me, no pressure needed so I can manage both hands. If you have similar problems it may be worth looking at nail grinders - for me it was money well spent.

PS In case you are wondering some also do toe nails but I go to a chiropodist myself so can’t pass comment on that

thank you very much for making me aware of this possibility! i’ve been struggling with clipping and filing my toenails. (i can still clip my fingernails.) i will be looking into this. any recommended brands or brands to avoid?

Hello parkiejoe
I can’t really help with recommendations as I could only go on what I found out and in the end relied quite heavily on high scoring reviews. However something like this page may help get you started.

I also decided, rightly or wrongly, to avoid the very cheap ones, most were around £30. I paid £26 for mine which seems to be a fairly average price and the one I bought feels sold and substantial and is comfortable to hold.

It strikes me it is best to cut your nails first and then use the grinder regularly after that to keep them trimmed so you don’t have to cut them again.
Make sure you are looking at the right thing - there are a lot of pages dedicated to grinders to trim animal claws lol and make sure it does toe nails or both finger and toe nails.
I wish you luck and hope it will solve your problem as it has mine.
