Recliner Chair

Hello FRANH,
I was sorry to hear of your experience but I am glad you posted. It is sadly all too common a story. The best advice if someone is giving you the hard sell is to walk away. When I was looking for my own chair, I too could have been pushed into buying an unsuitable chair. I invited a company to bring a tilt in space chair for assessment at my home so I could check how much space it would need… He duly arrived with a standard chair and launched into his spiel. I was making positive commens because it was a quality product then I noticed he was writing quite a lot and it looked like it was an order form so I asked hm to leave some info and a quote - he was indeed filling out an order but at no point had I said I wanted to buy it. He was most put out. After he left I decided not to proceed because of his attitude and presumption that I was going to sign up there and then even though he hadn’t brought the chair I had requested. I emailed him to say I would not be proceeding. He replied that it must be my finances and he didn’t appreciate my wasting his time. I was going to complain but their Head Office rang me - they were doing a random survey of home assessment visits, so I told her. She couldn’t apologise enough but there was no way I would use that company even if they had the best chair at a good price. Totally unacceptable. but not uncommon.
