Hi
I hope that you have a good Neurologist and PD care team. Use them to ensure that you can live as symptom-free as possible.
Take care
Doug
Hi Annabella1,
Of course you are feeling scared, you would not be normal if you did not.
PD is scary, however that being said so are very many other things and how we react to them is what is most important.
I also went through similar reactions but understand that at least you now know what it is and what to expect and how to treat it.
But please remember everyone experiences the symptoms in differing ways, what works for me may not work for you and visa versa.
For example your PD may take 10 years to start getting bad, whereas another person may only take 2.
Remember this forum is exactly for people like us.
Someone is going to be going through the exact same experiences you are, and can give you their thoughts.
Please just ask whatever questions you would like the answer to, wed are all here to help.

Hello Anna … Delighted to hear you are feeling a lot better and the medication is working. My experience is that Parkinson’s medication does have a downside but
overall we are better off taking it than not.
Best wishes

Hi Annabella1,
I’m so glad your medication has worked to make you feel and act better.
Unfortunately it seems you have no choice but to go private.
Hi @Annabella1
Really good news that the meds are helping. For most of us it is just a case of trial and error to find the medications and dosages that work best and give us the most relief.
If you haven’t already, you could try speaking to your local NHS Trust P.A.L.S team about the delay in getting appointments… they can sometimes chase on your behalf
