My husband has had Vascular Parkinsonism for a few years and his mobility has been going progressively downhill. He has had to use a mobility scooter inside the house for some time but over the past few weeks he has been able to do more walking (using a walking frame) from room to room - not every day but most days. His slight memory problems also seem to be improved. Funnily enough he is still able to ‘do’ stairs, albeit very slowly. Fortunately he doesn’t need any personal care yet - everything takes time but he persists in trying. Life is still difficult and frustrating for both of us but this improvement (totally unexpected) has been a bonus - long may it last! Other people have also noticed the change in him so it’s not just wishful thinking on our part.
