Research - searching for a cure news blackout

Its been ages since there has been any news in the media as to any research into a cure. Is there any information that can be shared with the forum as to research being undertaken

Hi again, Davech. A good way to keep up with the latest research developments is to keep an eye on our website. Check out https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/research as a start, and you can search for individual studies, etc using the links in the articles or the search bar at the top of the page. There are always multiple research fronts going on at any given time, so it is a lot of information, but having a look at this section of the website should point you in the right direction.

There is a lot of research going on with any number of new and repurposed pharmaceutical options for PD (like Exenatide, Nilotonib, Implants, Nicotine, etc.), many of which you will find on this board. The one I follow most closely is the Ambroxol research below, as I have been taking it for a year now.
