Safeguarding

I had a little fall over the weekend, just a few scrapes nothing major. However once the ambulance found out I’m also a carer for my terminal ill partner they issued a safeguarding alert. Today has been overwhelming with community nurses visiting, social workers and GP staff phoning like nobodies business.

Least it proves that the system works even if I feel its a bit of over reaction

Hi @Johanmb, thank you for sharing your note with us here.

Firstly we hope you’re recovering from your fall, and that you’re receiving the support you need to get better swiftly. It’s great to read that nurses have visited you and other health services have been in touch to make sure you and your partner are ok.

We’re wishing you both well, and please remember we’re here if you need to talk anything through.

Sending our warmest wishes

Once a safeguarding report is actioned the “healthcare professionals” completely spring into action and take over

Adults can’t be trusted to take care of their own affairs anymore, I guess in some cases there is a need for such protection, but in some cases they’re actions can break up relationships, they can sometimes have complete control.

I hope you are now quietly left in peace to privately be with your partner at this incredibly difficult and sad time

God bless you :folded_hands:
