I was prescribed by my PD Nurse to take 10mg of selegenine daily, however when I saw my GP in order to get the prescription she refused to let me have 10mg and will only let me have 5mg .I'm not too bothered but is this the norm? It makes me wonder who is correct.
Hi there,
I had a similar situation where my GP got involved in my prescription from my Pd nurse. In my experience my Pd nurse doesn't prescribe meds without the consultants say so. In my opinion it's the PD nurse who knows more about Parkinsons. I could be wrong but I would definitely get back to the nurse to check who made the decision to up your meds. You don't need any uncertainty.
