On Wednesday I took the “Electoral Registry Form” with me to fill out while I waited for another neurological assessment. I was sitting in a comfy chair & I started to fill out the form with my right hand. My hand shook so much that I could not form any letters, my hand kept shooting all over the page. I had to give up & fill out the form online.
Now why is this? I often write in my diary things like “GP at 11am” or “Good day bowling”.
Is filling out this inconsequential form Stressful?
In my flat I often make myself a mug of tea & carry the mug without spilling any ever. But when I had a guest the other day I could not carry the mug of coffee I had made for him a matter of 10 feet & I spilt most of it onto the floor. Again surely this isn’t stressful, I have known the guy years.
Do you know if you vote by post you can speak to the council about not having to sign the form just have to put your x in the box.
When its just me and my LO most of the time I’m ok with balance and doing things but the moment anybody visits (including a mate I’ve known for 15 plus years) I’m unsteady on feet , can’t open milk bottle etc etc
Hello & thanks for your prompt reply. I last voted for anything nearly 50 years ago when my parents insisted that I did so. I have no desire to vote as I have no faith or interest in any political party. A bunch of crooks, some of them, I might add. They are in it for themselves not us.
They keep sending me this form & have even had someone call.
Ho hum.
Clearly our issues are similar. I am convinced there is a “Victor Meldrew” inside me wanting to get out. “I don’t believe it”.
I used to work at polling stations one highlight was telling a pompous candidate that as much as he could puff and blow outside, once inside the polling station he does what he’s told and if that means me asking my best mate (a 6ft 10, 25st guy) to escort him out then that will happen,
btw my fav t shirt says “warning grumpy old git approach with caution”
