I’m finding Sinemet is really harsh on my stomach, it upsets my stomach and makes me bloated. I stopped taking it for a couple of weeks and things improved. Having to go back on it as the stiffness is horrendous. Anyone else experience this as a side effect?
Hubby takes Sinemet as well, he takes Buscopan to help with the bloating. Don’t know if this will help you, Good luck x

I had terrible bloating so my neurologist referred me to a gastroenterologist. He gave me a gastroscopy to make sure there was no blockage. He prescribed Nizataden which has completely sorted the bloating. I did see this specialist privately - I don’t know how long the wait to see one on the NHS would be.
Thanks for the replies, it seems Sinemet could be the cause of the bloating. I’ll speak with my GP.
