Hi there,
Medication changes can take time to settle and everyone responds differently. It may be worth getting a review from your Parkinson’s nurse or specialist. If you would like to talk things through you can reach our helpline on 0808 800 0303 or email [email protected]

Hello @Geoff_Postill-Topps Stalevo ( or Stanek ) tablets ( 100) I have been told they have a 2.5/ 3 hours life before the next one should be taken, so ideally you need to over lap by 1/2 an hour before the tablets wares off .
You also need to let your body get used to them this could take weeks ..
Your wee will also change colour to dark yellow due to this medication, nothing to worry about.
I am on all 3 of the tablets. I started with co-careldopa I now take 9 a day, half sinemet at night, and two types of stalevo. Stalevo is a slow release tablet that should last 12 hours. I was given these to help as an in between fix during the day for my co-careldopa as I am on the limit, but I take 50mg/12.5mg/200mg. The nighttime I take 100/25/200mg. I have found that these work with the other tablets for parkinson’s. With any change it takes time for your body to adjust.
