Stifness

In the last few weeks months, I have developed terrible stiffness,
Which is particularly bad in the early hours and morning,
I find it difficult to get out of bed.
I started taken my morning Madopar a hour before I get up
Along with 2 codomal and after a hour I find it easier to get up,
I also finding my hands so stiff I can’t do any thing with them
I got a hold of builders fingerless gloves that are tight and they seem to help
Has anyone else experienced the same symptoms

Hi, @Edd. Thanks for sharing what’s been happening - I’m sorry to hear your stiffness has become worse recently.

Stiffness (also called rigidity) is a common Parkinson’s symptom, and there is some information about why it happens and ways it may be managed on this page.

It’s good to hear you’ve found something that seems to help with your hands. Hopefully other members here will be along soon to share what’s worked for them too.

As this is a recent change in your symptoms, it would also be worth mentioning it to your Parkinson’s nurse or specialist, as they may want to review your medication or discuss ways to help manage it.

Please know that you can also call our free, confidential helpline for support and advice: 0808 800 0303. Our trained experts and specialist nurses are on hand anytime between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and 10am and 1pm on Saturdays.

Take care :blue_heart:
