I have spent most of today trawling t’interweb searching for a rollator that will meet a specific set of needs, as the one I currently use is not suitable for the intended purpose.
I would like to join the local Tea & Tattle, and two or three other similar groups that craft, in an effort to start socialising. I am faced with a few problems that can be resolved with the purchase of a new, more suitable rollator or walker to meet these needs, which are:
- must be lightweight and easily maneuverable with three, not four, wheels to facilitate maneuverability in confined spaces with narrow corridors and too many tables and chairs inconveniently scattered about {a point i intend to raise with organisers}
2. must have a comfortable seat as all the chairs at venues locally are either plastic “bucket” seats, so very uncomfortable, and I need to have arms on a chair to facilitate standing up as most chairs in restaurants etc do not have arms.
3. must be of suitable dimensions so that the handles will come up high enough to clear the average coffee shop/pub table so I can sit comfortably at said tables.
I keep finding exactly what I’m looking for with four wheels, but they aren’t exactly lightweight {I don’t have any plans to use it for climbing Everest or going to the North Pole} I will only be rolling to the end of my street, maybe a 1/4 of a mile or so. Any pointers gratefully explored.
