Hello everyone,
I hope you are all doing well.
I wanted to join this community to learn more and also share some thoughts that may help families caring for loved ones living with Parkinson’s.
One of the biggest challenges many families face is making sure their loved one feels safe, comfortable, and emotionally supported at home. Along with medical care, simple daily support such as companionship, help with meals, medication reminders, walking assistance, and emotional reassurance can make a huge difference.
Many elderly people living with Parkinson’s often experience loneliness, reduced mobility, and difficulty with daily tasks. Having a compassionate companion or home carer can help improve confidence and quality of life while allowing them to stay in familiar surroundings.
For families who provide full-time care, respite support can also be extremely helpful, especially during emergencies, holidays, or when carers need a short break.
I would love to hear from others here:
What kind of home support has helped your loved one the most?
Wishing strength and support to everyone in this community.
