Hi, new here and looking for some advice.
My Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s psychosis at the end of March after leaving the house and walking 8 miles to an and e and was admitted (after much argument) for two weeks.
He’s been taking quetiapine since with little effect being titrated up every few weeks, I realise it’s not a quick process and as not naive about it. He’s 74, my Mam is 76 and disabled. He’s incredibly distressed a lot of the time, in full delusions where he believes something is trying to hurt him. In his worst moments we’ve returned to an and e by ambulance, who referred us to social services but there we’ve been stuck in the middle. He doesn’t have dementia so social services don’t want to know, they say it’s a health problem, a and e say call 111 w if he gets worse, they refer us to gp who say wait for the consultant.
I have nothing left and I need help for him, I work full time and can’t be there with them all the time, but no one will help us. Does anyone have any experience that they could give me advice? How do I manage? When he refuses to stay home because tiita worse there social services say that’s his choice and hers capable. He can pay to stay somewhere else.
I’m really struggling.

Thank you, I think I can’t get help because he isn’t a danger to himself or anyone most of the time. We’re just worried he will be if he ups and leaves.
I’ll take a look at the links, thank you
