Scientists from 135 countries are participating in The Human Brain Project (HBP). It aims to build a database of brain research from the tens of thousands of neuroscience papers published annually and to develop the technology needed to create a computer simulation of the human brain. The billion pound project aims to revolutionise our understanding of how the brain works and is expected to take 10 years.
