Hello HavanaS
Just thought I’d stop by to wish you well in what appears to be your latest challenge. I do hope you are generally keeping well. No doubt your family are now growing fast.
Take care of yourelf.

Thank you! How are you? Hope everything is ok. I have reached out to the neurologist to ask for another meeting but forever hopeful that science throws some interventions soon……
I am well thank you HavanaS. Had a fall about a month ago - picked up some cups to put away, began to turn, knew my balance was suspect but not in a position to reach something to steady myself, anxiety grew, feet froze and so of course, down I went. Of course it all haappened in a split second. I wasn’t hurt and got up straightaway so no harm done but I have been a bit stiff for a couple of weeks which has complicated things a bit. However I am back to my usual self now and have been lucky (so far) to be able to say falls are rare. Nevertheless come December I will be 15 years post diagnosis so I have to be realistic and practical especially as I live on my own, so now do have a falls detector pendant alarm. It’s not been an easy year, my mother died in April aged 93, I lost a friend to her second time breast cancer in July and a ten month battle with my energy company that ended with me taking my case to the Ombudsman has just, in the last few weeks, been settled in my favour and I have now moved my account. Sometimes when I think about what ‘normal’ life has thrown at me over the last five years or so, I’m amazed that Parkinson’s hasn’t overtaken me since it is expert at knowing when one is vulnerable. However I’m still here, in one piece, I’m well in myself and I am still, most of the time, able to keep my positive mindset so all in all life is good - I’m just hoping that the remainder of the year isn’t quite so drama filled It was good to see you back on the forum even though your reasons were not so welcome. However you are being pro-active as you always were so I have no doubt you will manage whatever comes your way.

Ah my goodness! You have had a lot on your plate! Hope you are ok after the fall. I just wish this didn’t all need to happen!! I have trodden this path with my mum, as you know.
You have such an incredible attitude and long may it continue!
I feel I could put my head in the sand and pretend this is not happening (with my symptoms), or I could occasionally reach out to see if anyone has any new developments or bio hacks for Parkinson’s that I may have missed, or not be aware of.
Happy for anyone to connect with me if they are at a similar age, stage or London based.
Have a look on YouTube, red light therapy photobio modulation metabolic therapy,
Vibrating devices for PD. Keto diet or intermittent fasting all have good outcomes.
