Yesterday I ventured out into the city centre. I was sat taking one of my now frequent rest breaks minding my own business ( really I was thinking about those passing by and their fashion choices that morning) when a gentleman approached carrying a bible. He spotted that I had a PD lanyard and said that If I came to his church on Sunday he would lead the prayers that would rid by body of Parkinson’s forever. I looked at him, his collection tin and the leaflet which said about me giving 10% of my income to the church and declined his wonderful offer.
Hi @Johanmb, we’re sorry to hear you had that experience. Sometimes people can be so inconsiderate, even if it comes from trying to be kind. That’s a terrible thing to say about Parkinson’s though.
We hope you still managed to have a lovely day out, and that you have a lovely weekend ![]()

@Johanmb Hi. Earlier I replied to your post giving some advice and facts about charities and how to deal with them if you wanted to donate.
Unfortunately it appears to have struck a nerve with someone and they’ve removed it!
I do hope you had a chance to read it!
Cheers

Hello @Dusty68 @Johanmb I see my response has disappeared… So it appears I said something wrong ! Was it that you wanted me only to donate to PDuk and not my wife ! Or did I tell the truth once again ..
Hello, there is one thing about charities I can’t understand .. why do they have to give away big prizes as in houses or cars to get anyone to donate.
There the one I will not consider donating to . Ill give my donations directly … Unfortunately I don’t think it will be PDUk anymore. … Far to late for my wife …
Hello @Dusty68 I know… Joking… surly we can poke fun at a condition that was not of our own making.. if someone had a hand in it surely it must have been for a good reason .
If we can’t say words like religion. Surly * church* has something do with religion. ! as in the 1st post here. Not removed ! Not every religion has a church , so that word may offend someone ! . Someone coming up to you asking for money is. Begging .. that’s a crime .. asking for money from a disabled person and not an abled person is discrimination. ..
10 % of your income , if your on benefits that’s government money. Better tell them and HMRC as you maybe deprecating your assets.. to claim other benefits … Probably band now
Hello @Dusty68 just read a copy of your … Removed text. .. true …
