Hi

Im newly diagnosed and prescribed sinemet plus.

Im going on holiday soon and need medication for travel sickness.

Pharmacist suggested speaking to my gp about cyclizine …pre parkinsons i took hyoscine.

Does anyone on sinemet plus have experience of taking either hyoscine or cyclizine?

I’d definitely check with your GP or Parkinson’s pharmacist before taking either, as some travel-sickness medicines can affect Parkinson’s symptoms or cause extra drowsiness. Hopefully they can recommend the safest option with Sinemet Plus.

Absolutely, that’s really sensible advice. I’ll check with my GP or Parkinson’s pharmacist before taking anything, especially to make sure it’s safe to use alongside Sinemet Plus. Thanks for the helpful suggestion!
